Harriman, Tennessee, Nov. 2, 1920. Mr.J. B. Hutchinsonm 512 Walnut Ave., Roanoke, Va. Mr. J. B. Hutcheson:- I have just been to see your Aunt Mrs. Hargrave in regard to the family history of the Renfro family and she says you are in possession of more data and facts regarding the family than any one she knows of. I am especially interested in Revolutionary War records for the family, just at the present time and I am writing to ask if you know of any of your Renfro ancestors having served in that War? Was your Mother a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution? I am trying to get these records for a cousin who is a grand daughter of Robert A. Renfro and his wife Lucinda Clark. This Robert Renfro was a brother of your grandfather George W. Renfro and his wife Elizabeth Wright. They were sons of William Renfro and his wife Polly Ford, according to Mrs. Hargrave. Can you tell me the names of the parents of William Renfro? Was his father Robert Renfro and his mother Catherine Coulter? I will be so glad to have any data you may have on this family and will gladly pay you for it, if you make any charges. Thanking you in advance for your attention to this matter, I am, Yours very truly, CKH/K ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005.
