Harriman, Tennessee Feb. 7, 1921. Mr. W. E. Parham Maryville, Tenn. Dear Mr. Parham:-Here I am again asking for help. I have not yet found the names of the parents of the Miss Eaton who married John M. Clark, nor the names of her parents, and am sure you have not run across it, or you would have let me know. \ I have proven Mrs. Jack Tarwater's line back to William Renfro and wife Mary (Polly) Ford who lived in Cumberland County, and died there. Both families are said to have come from Virginia, but so far I have been unable to learn the county or even the section in Va. Won't you please refer to your Pension List (Revolutionary War) and see if any Renfro's or Fords were prisoners in Penn.? I hardly think you will find either as I don't think Wm. Renfro was old enough to have served in the Rev. War, but these names might be in the list you have. I do wish you would sell me that book, for I need it so often, and I feel sure Maryville College wouldn't appre- ciate it or take care of it, as I would. Have you ever seen Waddell's Annals of Augusta Co. Va.? If you are interested in it, I can loan you my copy, which I recently purchased. I hope you are well and that all goes well with you and yours. Always your friend, CKH/K ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005. All rights reserved. Archivist: Transcription and scan by G. Anne Sloan
