Sorry you cant tell me any thing about the McWhinneys, especially the name of the mother of Temperence Ann Kendrick McWhinney. I am glad to pass on to you the data I have on the Donelsons. John Donaldson & Katherine Davies (sister of Pres. Davies of Princeton) and they had at least one son: Wm Donaldson married Mary Sweeney, b. 1738, b. 1748, d. 1819, d. 1839, and they had the following children; 1. Elizabeth, b. 1767, m. Jos. Rogers, 2. Andrew, 1768, Isabella Carmichael, 3. Mary, m. 1797, Thos. Rogers, 4. Ann, 1775 m. Alexander Thompson, 5. John, 1778 Celia Jordan, 6. (unreadable),---- m. Leroy Pullen, 7. Jane John Argle, William Donaldson, married Isabella Carmichael, children; 1. Ann, b. 1797, married Saml. Hawkins 2. Elizabeth ( twins Thomas Snoddy, Susanna (b. 1801, Andrew Eaton, 3. Margaret, b. 1802, Soloman Shipley, 4. Jane, b. 1809, Daniel Derton (this could possibly be 'Berton' as it is on a fold and quite worn) 5. Andrew, Jr., never married, 6. William, b. 1813 Martha Reynolds, 7. Daniel, b. 1815 ------------ Whiteside. I hope the above will be of interest and help to you.
