Dear Mr. Parham:-  Thank you for your letter of the 17th.  Sorry
you cant tell me any thing about the McWhinneys, especially
the name of the mother of Temperence Ann Kendrick McWhinney.

I am glad to pass on to you the data I have on the Donelsons.

John Donaldson & Katherine Davies (sister of Pres. Davies of Princeton)
	and they had at least one son:

			      children;
	1. Ann, b. 1797,		married  Saml. Hawkins
	2. Elizabeth ( twins		              Thomas Snoddy,
	    Susanna   (b. 1801,			  Andrew Eaton,
	3. Margaret, b. 1802,			  Soloman Shipley,
	4. Jane, b. 1809,			  Daniel Derton    
							(this could possibly be 'Berton'
							as it is on a fold and quite worn)
	5. Andrew, Jr., never married,
	6. William, b. 1813			  Martha Reynolds,
	7. Daniel, b. 1815			  ------------ Whiteside.
