Dear Sir,

	After writing you I found, when I got to Philadelphia that I had to have a surgical operation on one of my eyes, and was not allowed by the surgeon to return to Boston till September.  This order book, which I use in Georgetown (our summer home) contains the name and address only, so I am sorry to have to ask you to have another copy made, leaving  spaces under each name for the Archive Reference.

	I am sorry this has happened as I will have to go over all the work again, and you are waiting.

	I do not find Elkanah Lane of Norton in the reference here, but will look in the Colony Records when I go in next Wednesday.  You might add this--or any other name to your list.
