Dear Mrs. Tarwater:-

			In reply to your letter of Feb. 25, ask-

ing information about the family history of Dr. Ford, who was

my grandfather, I must confess that I know but little.  Dr. Ford

had four sisters, and if he had a brother, I never heard of him.

One sister married William Loden, one married Nat. Bristoe, one

married William Hedgecoth and one married William Renfro, your

great grandfather.  This is as far back as I can go with the fam-

ily history of the Fords.  Dr. Ford, my grandfather, had five sons,

Tom, John, Elbert, (my father) Christ, and Dock, he also had two

daughters, Mary and Bettie.

			I know practically nothing of the Renfro family histo-

ry farther than my great aunt Mary married old  Billy Renfro.  I

would be glad to give you any farther information along this line

if I could.
