Maryville, Tenn. Nov 14 1920 Mr. C. K. Hill Harriman, Tenn Dear Sir After much search I find some notes on Eatons--copied from a Bible record in W. P. Eatons house at Mrs Harveys in Harriman and confirmed by Mrs Joe Fonte. As I was working on the Donaldsons I did not go into the Eatons very much and can not say if there should be more or not--first Summers book on South west Va gives a revolutionary soldier as one Amos Eaton--I know no more. Bible refered to has Robert D. Eaton b. Nov 16, 1772 d. Jan. 31, 1854 Wife Jennet Eaton 2 b. ___ 1770 d March 5, 1851 these had children Andrew Chamberlain Eaton b. Sept 3, 1804 d Aug 31 1880 m. Eaton and others 2nd Ella Caroline Eaton b. May 27, 1837 m George Henry Boyd b___ d. 1886 he was a brother to Cornelia Narcissa B. above so double brotherinlaws of Dr. Robt P. Eaton In one place I have one Wm Donaldson b. 1822 m Amanda Worley; in another it says 3 Wm Donaldson b 1822 m Amand Worley-Eaton I can not say which is right: The Donaldsons were of Hamblin or Grainger County; there may have been more Eatons born to Robert D. Eaton 1772-1854 or he may have had brother and Sisters The Dr. R. P Eaton 1835-1905 may have been the one elected to Senate from Roane Co Tenn about 1872.
