Maryville, Tenn. Nov. 3, 1920 Mr. C. K. Hill Dear Sir I am not able to aid with the Eaton record, as all I received was of Mrs Joe Foute and when I finished it I gave it to Mrs. Easton or Mrs. Foute at Harriman. The most I had was Donaldson who married an Eaton;. I know the old Dr. Eaton of Eatons X Roads had some 2 or 3 Sisters and a brother who married about the X Roads, but not as to what became of them, named, nor other data. They came from Washington Co Va; when all of Donaldsons, McKay (McKoy?) Gamble, Snoddy, Davis & C did as were or seem to have been neighbors. I came across name a great many times but did not make notes. I started two weeks ago to write to you but put it off. I wanted you to see Roe Goddard or Mr. Green and find when, how marked, and all about their shiping my "old mantal" out of our old house there. I have tried every way to find out what was done, where bill of lading is and get no answer. I prized it very much, cautioned both parties as to it. Please ask them what has been done. I fear it is lost. They give me no dates no information, so I have no way to get R.R.to trace. I found Robert Rhea of 1st district in Blount Co. asan old pensioner his widow proving same on County records. Do not know decendents. I can send what I found if you want it. The G.O.P. is back at her job of making good for Americans. Hurrah! Your friend, Will E. Parham ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005.
