I have made these sketches very brief, so if they are not just what is desired, won’t you please advise me so that I may try again? I regret exceedingly it was impossible for me to attend the Annual Meeting and Luncheon in Washington. Will you please send me a permit for insignia of the Daughters of the Barons of Runnemede? NHD/K [page two] American Ancestors of Mrs. Allen Russell Davis (Nannie Ellen Hill) Harriman, Tennessee. Captain Henry Randolph. Capt. Henry Randolph was born in England about 1623, came to the Colony of Virginia in 1643, settling in Henrico County. He was Clerk of Henrico County, 1656-1660. He was Clerk of the House of Burgesses, 1660 to his death in 1673. (Ref. Wm. & Mary Quar. Vol. 4, p.125.) He was succeeded in both offices by his nephew William Randolph of Turkey Island, Virginia. Capt. Henry Randolph married Dec. 12, 1661, Judith, daughter of Hon. Henry Soane, Speaker of the House of Burgesses. She died in Henrico County, Va. Captain Henry Isham. Captain Henry Isham was born in England, 1628, came to the Colony of Virginia and settled at Bermuda Hundred, James River. He was Captain of Militia and High Sheriff of Henrico County, Va. He married Catherine Banks, widow of Joseph Royall, of Henrico County. He died in Henrico County, Va., 1676.
