“There is no event more popularly remembered and referred to than the granting of Magna Charta at Runnemede” Baronial Order of Runnemede Office of the Genealogist (Embossed seal of Baronial 417 West 114th Street Mr. Charles H. Browning Order of Runnemede) New York City Ardmore, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. 7 July, 1924 My dear Baron Bullock. Received note from Mr. C, K. Hill, Tenn saying you wish to nominate him, therefore, I’m enclosing usual form. You sign it when (check mark), and, per Statutes, send this “paper” to Signet (Mr. Charles Marshall, The Union League, Phil., Pa.) with Mr. Hill’s descent ped(igree) from a M.C. Baron—or a Surety, if possible,--made up in abstract, but giving sources of ped(igree) information, etc.,--your own *, and a check or draft for Membership Fee of the Constitution ($50.00), written to order of the Purse (Mr. John B. Clement).-- (page 2) May tell Mr. Hill that the membership is in perpetuity and that there are no “dues,” not assessments ever,--but occasionally some eats and there use to be some “drinks”—till the South got on the Water Wagon! Sorry. about the Mr. “Thomas” ped(igree): but its compiler—Rev. Wm. T. took it all back. Years ago. as mention in “Bulletin”,--Notes— of IV (1874) ed. *--* p. 80, etc. Faithfully Yours, C.H. Browning NVS Mr. Hill check is quite as good as his “consent.” (*=not decipherable) ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005.
