Harriman, Tennessee, May 25, 1921. Mr. Edwin S. Jack, Greensboro, Ala. Dear Mr. Jack:- Your brother T.H. Jack of Emory University, Ga., informed me that you probably can give me some assistance with a question in the history of the Jack family, or if not you can refer me to some one who can, so I am writing you to know if this is correct? I am trying to get proof that James Jack Reese, (son of Soloman Trusten Reese and his wife Harriet Jack Reese of Mecklenburg County N.C.) married Mollie (Mary) Mackey, and were the parents of James Reese who married Elizabeth Brown (daughter of Joseph Brown and Mary Porter). I am very anxious to prove that James Jack Reese was the father of James Reese who married Elizabeth Brown. As far as I have been able to get records of the Reese family, no mention is made of the name of the wife or children of James Jack Reese, son of Soloman T. & Harriet Jack Reese, and I am hoping that the records of the Jack family will give this data. I will appreciate any assistance you can give me, or any one to whom you may refer me for this data. Thanking you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter, I am, Yours very truly, CKH/K ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005.
