Harriman, Tennessee, June 6, 1921. Fannie Moore Jack, 1521 Walnut St., Vicksburg, Miss. My dear Madam:- Recently I have seen your pamphlet on the Jack family and not finding the data I very much desire, am taking the liberty of writing you to know if you can, at this time supply it? I am trying to get records of the families of the children of Soloman Trusten Reese of Mecklenburg Co. N.C. (son of David Reese “Signer” of the Macklenburg Declaration of Independence) who is said to have married Harriet Jack of Macklenburg Co., and were the parents of James Jsck Reese and George Reese. I do not know who either of these men married. I want records of the parents of James Reese, whose mother is said to have been Mollie (Mary) Mackey, and his connection with David Reese the “Signer” and I hoped to get these records from the records of the Jack family. I will be so greatful to you for any assistance you can and will give me, and will gladly pay for the records on receipt of your bill, if you make any charges. Thanking you in advance for a prompt reply and hoping you can help me, I am, Cordially yours, (Mr. C. K. Hill) CKH/K ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005. All rights reserved. Archivist: Transcription and scan by G. Anne Sloan
