My dear Mr. Hill:- I am sorry I have been so long in replying to your enquiries in regard to offices held by the ancestors you mentioned. I sent you about five days ago some data and also a “History of the Jack family” some time before that. I hope you have received both and will get some help from them. I hope to be able to send you Rev. Thomas (page two) Reese as a Colonial ancestor— The N.C. eligibility list says “Pastors of Churches whose patriotic services and sermons have been recorded in history.” Will see what I can do about the Jasper line but will have to get it from a paper on file. Also will let you know of any others I may be able to get. Your sister’s application has not been received yet but I hope will be here for the June meeting. I do not know of any office held by Thomas Spratt, father of Susan Spratt, who married Thomas Polk. I have been very much awash? with work for the C. D. Society, but the season will soon be over, and then I will have more time to devote to my genealogical work. I have had Pedigree papers of twenty-five new members to examine since Jan. 1st, besides writing out some of the papers. Will let you know as soon as I can get anything of value to you. Hoping I am not inconveniencing you by being so slow, (page three) I am with best wishes, Yours cordially Mary Sumner Kingsburg.
