EMORY UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LIBERAL ARTS ATLANTA, GA POST OFFICE ADDRESS OFFICE OF THE DEAN EMORY UNIVERSITY, GEORGIA May 23, 1921. Mr. C. K. Hill, Harriman, Tennessee. Dear Mr. Hill: In some fashion, your letter of April 18 was misplaced in my study at home, and I have just found it again. I am very sorry indeed for my apparent discourtesy in failing to reply earlier. Contrary to your information, I am not in any sense an authority on the Jack genealogy, though I have gathered together a considerable number of items on the history of the family. The little information I have does not throw any light on the problem suggested in your letter. My brother, Edwin S. Jack, of Greensboro, Alabama, may be able to direct you to some one who can give this information. I am sure he will be very glad to do so if he can. He knows the names of the people, in Alabama, Mississippi, and North Carolina who have been working on the history of the Jack family. I shall keep your letter with my Jack notes, and if ever I come upon any item that would be of interest to you, I shall forward it on. If you are ever in Atlanta, I should be very glad to have you come out to the University to see me. Very sincerely yours, (signed) Theodore H. Jack. THEODORE H. JACK Dean. ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005. All rights reserved. Archivist: Transcription and scan by G. Anne Sloan
