   I have the honor to inform you, that at the annual
meeting of the North Carolina Society of the Cincinnati,
held today at Raleigh, you were admitted a member under the
right of your propositus, Lieut. William Hill, Rule of
1854.

   Please sign and return me the enclosed declaration, also
give me what exact address you wish placed after your name
in our Roster and what college or other degrees you may
have.

   Please remit me $5 for your diploma, which I shall have
filled out and sent you by first class mail.
