(printed North Carolina Society of the Cincinnati logo) John C. Daves, Vice-President 214 Chamber of Commerce, Baltimore, Md. April 4/19. Mr. C.K. Hill, Harriman, Tenn. My dear Mr. Hill:- I am in receipt today of your letter of the 2” inst., enclosing your application duly executed and your cheque for $100. for which I thank you for and enclose you receipt therefor. Your application will be passed by the Standing Committee and you will be admitted a member at the annual meeting of our Society on the 26” inst. and I look forward with pleasure to greeting you as a member of the Order. The genealogical data which you sent me is in excellent shape, so much better than I usually receive. When I realize that you were born the year I graduated from Princeton University it makes me feel very venerable. Should you at any time come this way it would give me pleasure to have you look me up. Have I ever sent you the institution, by-laws, roster and minutes of our Society, kindly let me know on the enclosed postal, and if I have not sent them to you, I shall gladly do so on hearing from you. Sincerely yours, John C. Daves Vice-President. (2 encl.) ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005. All rights reserved.
