Dear Mr. Hill:

   I have your letter of the 20th, instant, enclosing your
application-for-membership papers in this Society, in
duplicate; and your check for forty dollars ($40.00) for
lifemembership fee, without dues.

   I am by this mail sending your papers to the genealogist
and will report to you, as soon as there shall have been
action thereon; and will at the same time comply with your
request for the preliminary blank.
