SOCIETY OF COLONIAL WARS IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR # 113 S. 3rd St., Richmond, Va., Mar. 20, 1921. Mr. C.K. Hill, Harriman, Tenn., Dear Mr. Hill: First, my very sincere and earnest apologies for not until now replying to your letter of Feb. 17th; but the moving of the State Archives into the fire-proof building given us by the last General Assembly, -a process which required just three weeks, and found me utterly exhausted every night of said three weeks was the cause of my seeming discourtesy, and I trust that you will accept the proffered apologies. Let me have your papers as soon as you can, as we shgall not meet for several weeks yet, I think. As to dues,- “The initiation fee shall be ten dollars, the annual dues three dollars, and life membership, without dues, forty dollars”(BY-LAWS, Sec. 1) Hoping to hear from you, believe me, Very sincerely, yours, Morgan P. Robinson, Secretary. ================================================== Transcription copyright © RoaneTNHistory.org 2005. All rights reserved. Archivist: Transcription and scan by G. Anne Sloan
